Who is Antithesis?

    Dave Harrison made his professional theatre debut as a child in 'Oliver!' for Cameron Mackintosh/IMG. Since then he has been fortunate to train with some of the world's leading coaches, directors and writers and institutions including; NIDA, VCA, 16th Street Actor's Studio, Atlantic Acting School (NYC), Larry Moss (Hilary Swank, Leonardo DiCaprio), Susan Batson (Juliette Binoche, Nicole Kidman), Elizabeth Moss (Bradley Cooper), John Patrick Shanley (Doubt, Moonstruck), Anya Saffir and more.

    As an actor some of his favourite credits include – Pompeii/LA (Malthouse Theatre – Declan Greene), The Aliens (Red Stitch Theatre – Annie Baker), Ben10: LIVE (MEI Worldwide – International Tour), Lifestyles of the Richard and Family (Next Wave Festival – Harriet Gillies), Wasted (Kae Tempest - The Kings Collective) and more.

    After transitioning from performing to producing in 2014 Dave went on to build an ensemble that produced over 13 productions in Sydney, creating opportunities for over 80 young artists before embarking on a career in Arts Marketing and Producing.

    From there he went on to study at Atlantic Acting School in NYC and stepped into an Assistant Teacher role working with students from NYU/Tisch School of the Arts alongside master teacher Anya Saffir teaching the Practical Aesthetics method developed by William H Macy and David Mamet.

    In 2021 Dave joined and became a Partner and Creative Director at Australia's leading entertainment marketing consultancy – Anthem (formerly AKA Australia). His clients included – Disney Theatrical Group (Frozen the Musical and Beauty and the Beast the Musical), LWAA (Six the Musical, Mamma Mia! the Musical), Michael Cassel Group (The Lion King), GWB (Jagged Little Pill the Musical), Griffin Theatre, Museums Victoria, Marvel Stadium/AFL and more.

    Dave has since turned back to the craft and has dedicated himself to the creation and development of new Australian work in the hopes of connecting with new audiences in a post-pandemic arts landscape.
